As part of National Volunteer Week 2022 (Sunday, April 24 to Saturday, April 30), the President & CEO of Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, Lori Radke, wanted to share a message of thanks to our volunteer community.
On behalf of everyone at Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our volunteers for everything that you do. Crohn’s and Colitis Canada was founded by volunteers nearly 50 years ago, and to this day, we rely on their vital contributions to our community and cause. From promoting the
GoHere Washroom Access program to leading important peer support discussions, helping plan
Gutsy Walk, taking part in leading chapters, serving on committees or our Board of Directors, and much more, Crohn’s and Colitis Canada wouldn’t be what it is today without the incredible support of our volunteers, past and present, from coast to coast.
I want to thank you for giving Crohn’s and Colitis Canada your time, skills, effort…and most important of all, your heart.
This year’s National Volunteer Week theme is “volunteers bring heart” and I couldn’t agree more. It is because of the heart, passion, and dedication you bring to your roles with Crohn’s and Colitis Canada that we have been able to achieve so much in the past 48 years.
Thank you to each and every one of our 1,700 volunteers for all that you do. Your efforts to support our mission and all those living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are noticed and appreciated!
Sincerely,
Lori Radke
